Now Hiring at Sweet Home Quilting!

Do you have a passion for quilting and love working with people?  We are looking for a few outgoing and enthusiastic people who can work on our sales team!  Does the idea of running a longarm quilting machine make you smile?  We are also looking for a few hard-working, detail-oriented people to run our longarm machines in our customer quilting services department!


Sales associates (part-time):

This position requires working with customers that come in the store, assisting customers over the phone, checking-in quilts for our Quilting Department, and keeping up with maintenance and presentation of products in the store.

  • We are looking for 3-5 days per week, including some Saturdays

Job Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers and help them with their quilting needs
  • Cut fabrics for customers as needed
  • Check in quilts from customers and assist with design and thread selections.
  • Maintain knowledge of our products.
  • Learn to bind quilts on our sewing machine to complete customer quilts.
  • Keep fabrics and shelves organized and tidy.
  • Work the register checking out customers
  • Other duties as needed.

Skills Required:

  • Quilting knowledge is required.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Be able to be on your feet for the entire day.
  • Be punctual and dependable.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Be open to learning new things and keep up with knowledge of the quilting industry.



Longarm Quilters:

No longarm experience is necessary, we will train you to run our machines. This is a physical position that requires standing most of the day, getting down on the floor underneath the machines and requires a great attention for detail.   It also requires the use of a computer-guided quilting system, so strong computer skills are a must.

  • We are looking for 3-4 days a week, including alternating Saturdays

Job Responsibilities:

  • Learn and use our INNOVA longarm quilting machines and AutoPilot computer program.
  • Maintain and clean machines and work area daily.
  • Square backing fabrics and prepare quilts to be loaded onto the machines.
  • Carefully load and quilt customer quilts.
  • Communicate with customers as questions arise.
  • Maintain customer work orders for accurate accounting of services.
  • Other duties as needed.


  • No longarm quilting experience is necessary, we will train you.
  • Quilting knowledge is required.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Be detail oriented.
  • Be punctual and dependable.
  • Be able to be on your feet for the entire day, bend and kneel on the floor as this is a physically demanding position.
