Over the Hill Quilt Pattern by Wendy Williams of Flying Fish Kits

A fun quilt made with wool applique on linen backgrounds. The applique is completed with simple embroidery stitches using wool thread and perle 8 cotton.

The curved piecing on the background squares is made by hand (no scary machine stitched curves),with a simple technique and reverse applique. This is a great design to play with, you can customize the applique to reflect your memories from close to home of places visited.
