Longarm Quilting Free Motion Feathers

A drawing based class, you will learn the basics of feathers and gain the confidence and muscle memory to translate your feather creations to fabric. Beginning with a spine and simple curl feather, you will work through more advanced feather shapes, adding your feathers to circles to create a wreath, adding to borders and many other shapes. You will have access to a longarm machine to test your feathers, if you wish.
Cost is $75 and includes handouts and a small quilt sandwich, if you have worked on one. Please bring a drawing pad and pencils. There will be a one hour break for lunch; bring your lunch (there is a refrigerator in the classroom).

| Instructor Bio: | Carol Thurston has been a longarm quilter since 2009 and began piecing in the mid 1980’s, although she has used a sewing machine since elementary school. She has a love for anything quilting and is always excited to learn a new technique or skill. Carol has worked in the quilting industry since 2012 as an educator, and also in the sales of Innova longarms. Her passion for teaching is characterized by enthusiasm, dedication and a genuine desire to help quilters learn and experience the creativity and fun of quilting. |
