Longarm Working with Rulers



Join us for hours of exciting fun on the longarm as we learn how to properly use rulers and see all of the designs that develop with the use of rulers.  Enhance your quilt with stitch in the ditch, add beautiful curved crosshatching and curves and straight edge stitching in many different forms.

Cost is $75 and includes handouts and a quilt sandwich that you have worked on.  Please bring a straight ruler and a ruler with a curve.  There will be a one hour break for lunch; bring your lunch (there is a refrigerator in the classroom).

Instructor: Carol Thurston
Instructor Bio: Carol Thurston has been a longarm quilter since 2009 and began piecing in the mid 1980’s, although she has used a sewing machine since elementary school. She has a love for anything quilting and is always excited to learn a new technique or skill. Carol has worked in the quilting industry since 2012 as an educator, and also in the sales of Innova longarms. Her passion for teaching is characterized by enthusiasm, dedication and a genuine desire to help quilters learn and experience the creativity and fun of quilting.
