Mandalas Gone Wild - AGAIN!

Do you want to learn to make intricate, beautiful mandalas? Then this class is for you. This technique is a cross between Appliqué and EPP but no hand sewing is required. You will learn how to cut and prepare your appliqué pieces and how to assemble full, half and quarter blocks. The pattern includes many different setting and sizes so you can select the size and setting that you want to do. I called this class, Mandalas Gone Wild, because the options are endless on what fabrics you choose and how you assemble your Mandalas.

Mandalas Gone Wild Class
This class is a two part class. The first class is a demo on July 19th from 10:30-12:30 and the second part of the class is August 16th from 10:30 - 4:00. The first part will be a demo on how to select your fabrics, how to print and cut out your pieces and how to prepare your fabric pieces for your mandalas. The second part of the class you will come with prepared Mandala pieces and then assembly them in class.
The Pattern:
The pattern, which is Harmony BOM, must be purchased on-line and downloaded. The designer is Rachelle Denny, from Australia. The pattern can be purchased at the following link:
https://rachelledennenydesigns.com.au/products/harmony-block-of-the-month
Select the Add to cart and you will be able to download all of the patterns at one time. (Note: do not select the printed version since it cost twice as much and it will have to be shipped from Australia so it will take months to get the pattern). The pattern and instructions are very detailed. You will be able to print them yourself on your home printer or you can take it to a printer (like staples) and have them printed. I suggest that you only print the Harmony Fabric Selections and Settings (introduction) and block one and two instructions before the demo class.
In addition to the instructions you will have to print the pattern pieces for month 1 and 2. It is very important when you print the pattern pieces that you print at 100 % scale (check the 1 inch block on the sheets to verify that they are printed correctly).
Class Supplies:
Class attendees will receive a 15% discount on class supplies.

| Instructor Bio: | I'm an avid quilter and I have made over 400 quilts in the 18 years I have been quilting. I love doing my own quilt designs and adapting purchased designs to personalize my quilts. I also love to teach quilting and I have taught at many of the local shops over the years. I have also presented at many local quilt guilds in Tuscaloosa, Athens, Huntsville and Madison. My philosophy of teaching is to show you the tips and tricks I have learned and to make the learning experience fun and creative. I encourage students to add their own touches to their quilt and to think outside of the box. |
