Irene Blanck Sweet Home Quilting 2024 Workshop
Join International Quilt Designer and Instructor, Irene Blanck for a two-day workshop featuring one of two patterns of your choice - Maggie Mae or Clementine.
Irene will teach her methods of straight line applique, curves, points in leaves, circles and stems. Irene will teach you how to prepare your shapes as well as glue them onto the background using a lightbox - this is essential for the workshop. Using the lightbox eliminates many steps in the prep process that she used to do many years ago (in the dark ages!!) For Irene, needle turn applique must be fun!! Needle turn applique does not have to be accurate - our perceived mistakes are all part of the charm of our quilts.
Workshop attendees will get to choose from two of Irene's quilt designs: Clementine or Maggie Mae (Irene's newest pattern!)
Quilting is Irene's passion. She loves applique and has lots of tricks and techniques to share with quilters that have been too afraid of tackling applique projects. She loves to see how much fun they have when they realize that they can succeed.
SUPPLIES & TOOLS LIST REQUIRED:
A list of required and optional supplies will be sent out prior to class. Sweet Home Quilting will also offer a basic supplies bundle and some small fabric bundles. Fabrics required will be dependent on which pattern you are choosing to make, however they are both very flexible to allow for customized creativity!
No Sewing machines are needed!!
Workshop cancellation policy:
- Refunds are not given for workshops. Workshops usually incur large up-front expenses with obtaining instructors and sometimes venue locations. We need to be able to rely on the registrations in order to make these larger events happen.
- Registration can be transferred - but you must call the shop and provide information for the transfer. We may be able to assist with the transfer if there is a waitlist.
- Accommodations will not be provided for "no-shows"
