Fresh Cut Sew Along with Judy Ballance
Have you admired the Sue Spargo Fresh Cut Quilt pattern, but have been intimidated to start this project on your own? We are happy to be offering a monthly sew along/demo of stitches for this quilt!
This will be a 10-month sew-along, starting on April 3rd 2024. You can join us for all 10 months, or any individual month(s) you are able. PLEASE NOTE that you will have to sign up for each month separately.
Judy Ballance will demo the stitches on approximately one block per month, starting with block 1 in April. She will help you through any issues you may have with stitches, and she will also discuss other options that can be used, including using trims, embellishments, and alternate borders. She will also teach you how to make Dorset and Yorkshire buttons that you can add to your quilt.
Sew-along dates are: April 3rd, April 17th, June 5th, July 3rd, August 7th, September 18th, October 23rd, November 6th, December 4th, and January 8th (2025). If you have any questions, please feel free to text or call Judy at 256-658-2021

| Instructor Bio: | I'm an avid quilter and I have made over 400 quilts in the 18 years I have been quilting. I love doing my own quilt designs and adapting purchased designs to personalize my quilts. I also love to teach quilting and I have taught at many of the local shops over the years. I have also presented at many local quilt guilds in Tuscaloosa, Athens, Huntsville and Madison. My philosophy of teaching is to show you the tips and tricks I have learned and to make the learning experience fun and creative. I encourage students to add their own touches to their quilt and to think outside of the box. |
