Beginning Quilting from Start to Finish with Denise Reuter
This exciting class will start you at the very basics of quilting. You will learn how to purchase the right fabrics and tools, how to use a rotary cutter, a ruler, how to sew a 1/4" seam, piece a quilt top, and how to put on a border. Finally you will finish your quilt using your domestic machine, then bind and label your project. Denise loves teaching entry level classes and brings her joy to each and every class. She will pull out all kinds of tips and tricks to make this class worthwhile, even to a quilter with experience.
Class attendees will receive a 15% discount on class supplies.
On the first day of class please bring what quilting tools (rotary cutters, rulers, etc) you already own. For the first day you will not need your sewing machine. We will talk about tools and fabrics. You will be given the supply list at that time. Denise will be available to help you choose your fabrics and any other tools that you may need.
To ensure that you get what you need and to provide the best outcome for your project, we do require you purchase your fabric at Sweet Home Quilting with the assistance of our staff.
Class Sample is a crib size quilt (36" x 44"). You will have the option to make your quilt crib size or lap size (60" x 60").
