Have you admired the Sue Spargo Fresh Cut Quilt pattern, but have been intimidated to start this project on your own? We are happy to be offering a monthly sew along/demo of stitches for this quilt! This will be a 10-month sew-along starting on April 3rd 2024. You can join us for all 10 months, or any individual month(s) you are able. PLEASE NOTE that you will have to sign up for each month separately. Judy Ballance will demo the stitches on approximately one block per month, starting with block 1 in April. She will help you through any issues you may have with stitches, and she will also discuss other options that can be used, including using trims, embellishments, and alternate borders. She will also teach you how to make Dorset and Yorkshire buttons that you can add to your quilt. Silver Shores is a beautiful eight-pointed star radiating out to a 16 pointed star on a circular border. It is constructed using five distinct sections. The pattern is designed as a 68" square and can be enlarged to 99" using various queen extensions available. This is an advanced beginner class using paper piecing and taught using Quiltworx techniques. Previous Quiltworx experience is helpful, but not required.

You will learn how to purchase the right fabrics and tools, how to use a rotary cutter, a ruler, how to sew a 1/4" seam, piece a quilt top, and how to put on a border. She will pull out all kinds of tips and tricks to make this class worthwhile, even to a quilter with experience.

Have you admired the Sue Spargo Fresh Cut Quilt pattern, but have been intimidated to start this project on your own? We are happy to be offering a monthly sew along/demo of stitches for this quilt! This will be a 10-month sew-along starting on April 3rd 2024. You can join us for all 10 months, or any individual month(s) you are able. PLEASE NOTE that you will have to sign up for each month separately. Judy Ballance will demo the stitches on approximately one block per month, starting with block 1 in April. She will help you through any issues you may have with stitches, and she will also discuss other options that can be used, including using trims, embellishments, and alternate borders.
