We will be following along with JAYBIRD Quilts on Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/journey2nebula/ participating in their Journey to Nebula sew along right here in the store. Check out their Instagram page to see just how much fun this is going to be. This sew along/ skill builder class will be held every 2 weeks starting Tuesday, September 8 through December 15. The class fee includes all 6 Jaybird Quilt patterns and 8 - 3 hour sessions for only $79.00. The patterns only require 1/4 yard cuts so you can use your stash or purchase some new Tula in the store before class. We will have the Tula Pink fabrics in stock so you can make your pillows to match your quilt!! What a fun way to get out of the house and learn some new techniques with new rulers. These patterns will help get you ready for Nebula by working through 6 small, approachable patterns. We are limiting this in store sew along to 10 due to social distancing requirements. SHHH.. don't tell my husband that this is just an excuse to be with friends!! Bring your sewing machine and quilt notions.

Wool Applique class The Over the Hill class will be using the Wendy Williams pattern from Australia. The quilt uses a cotton background with wool appliques. The background is curved piecing but don't let that scare you. I will show you a quick and easy glue basted method for piecing the curves. The appliques will be sewn on with a machine (or by hand if you prefer that method I will teach you both methods) and I will teach you all of the hand embellishment stitches. This class will be taught once a month over a 4 month period.
